Tung Lok Li has over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor sector. Mr. Li was previously Chairman of the Company’s board of directors and has been a member of the Company’s board of directors since October 1999. He has served, and continues to serve, as the Chairman of the board of directors of QPL, which has been listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong since 1989. Mr. Li was the Chairman of the board of directors of Peak Plastic until he resigned in October 2001. Mr. Li holds a B.S. degree in chemical engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
From 1993 until he joined QPL International Holdings as Chief Executive Officer in 2004, Mr. Martin was with ASAT where he served in a number of senior level management positions, including Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning, Chief Operating Officer and as a director. From 1983 until he joined the Company, Mr. Martin was with Amkor Electronics where he held various senior level positions, including Vice President of European Sales and Vice President of Marketing for Amkor’s advanced product lines. Prior to that, Mr. Martin held various sales, management and engineering positions with TRW, Thompson CSF, and Texas Instruments. Mr. Martin received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from Lamar University.
Jeffrey Osmun, President and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Mr. Osmun brings to ASAT almost 20 years of semiconductor industry sales experience, including seven years at assembly and test provider STATS ChipPAC where he most recently served as Corporate Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing. Mr. Osmun most recently served as Corporate Vice President of Sales and Marketing at White Electronic Designs, an Arizona-based provider of advanced technology solutions. He also worked in several sales and management positions, rising from sales engineer to national sales manager, during his 12 year career with Kyocera America, Inc. Mr. Osmun holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University.
Ernest Tan , Senior Vice President of Operations
Mr. Tan brings over 30 years of operational experience from the electronics industry to ASAT Holdings. Prior to joining ASAT, Mr. Tan held senior level operational roles for Intel, Motorola and Flextronics in Asia, the United States and other regions. In his positions in operational management, he has focused on improving key customer interface to allow greater integration into customers’ capital budgeting cycle and improved service level. Mr. Tan holds diplomas in Electrical Engineering and Management Sciences. He received his Masters in Buisness Administration from Brunel University, UK.
Kei Hong Chua brings nearly 15 years of banking, finance and accounting experience to ASAT Holdings. Prior to joining ASAT, Kei Hong was head of Standard Chartered Bank’s Alternate Investment Group in China, where he was responsible for proprietary investments in special situations across Asia. Previously, Kei Hong served as a senior manager in Corporate Finance and Business Recovery Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Hong Kong and as a senior manager in Arthur Andersen’s Global Corporate Finance - Corporate Restructuring Services in New York. In addition, he served as a founding partner and CFO of Vertical Think, Inc., a management and consulting firm for companies engaged in eBusiness. Kei Hong holds a bachelor of science degree in finance and accounting, graduating magna cum laude, from New York University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant in the United States.
Kevin T.S. Kong, Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Mr. Kong joined ASAT after years of legal practice with international law firms in New York and Shanghai. Prior to joining ASAT, Mr. Kong was a senior attorney at the Shanghai office of Sidley Austin Brown & Wood, a US law firm, and facilitated US companies investing into China. He has substantial experience in mergers and acquisitions, bank loans, finance, corporate and commercial law involving multi-jurisdictional transactions in US, Asia and Europe. Mr. Kong received a B.A. degree in economics and political science from Columbia University and a J.D. degree from Cornell Law School. Mr. Kong is a US attorney admitted in the State of New York.
John R. McMillan, Senior Vice President of Quality And Engineering
Mr. McMillan brings more than 20 years of semiconductor assembly and test experience to ASAT, including 19 years in various management positions at Amkor Technology where he was most recently Corporate Vice President of Quality, Reliability and Manufacturing Engineering. Mr. McMillan also served in several senior level positions in advanced product development and facilities management. In addition to his experience at Amkor, Mr. McMillan served as Director of Quality and Engineering at Tensolite Company, a division of the Carlisle Corporation, where he revamped quality control procedures and managed the transition of manufacturing operations to China from the U.S.
